Terry Kays remembered

1958 – June 4, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Terrance (Terry) Mark Kays announces his passing away on June 4, 2018 in Black Hawk, Colorado. He was 59 years young.

Terry was the loving father of Jessica Kays of Central City, CO and Ryan (Jessica) Kays of Weldona, CO. He was the grandfather of Wyatt, Riley, and Logan Lovingier and Caleb and Bryce Kays.

He will be forever remembered by his sister, Nancy (Al) Humble and brother, Ronnie Kays as well as his nephew and niece Jason and Nicole Humble.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents Marvin and Joyce (Kreminski) Kays and brother Shawn Kays.

Terry retired as a Master Carpenter in 2015 to begin his life-long dreams of relaxing in his mountain home of 20+ years. His adventures included fishing every chance he could and “hunting.” Those who knew him, knew there were often no “rewards” from the hunting trips as he enjoyed watching the animals more than anything else.

Terry had a deep love of animals which showed in his support and continuous care of all animals at Charlie’s Place in Dumont, CO. He spent every week walking dogs or feeding kitties.

A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held on June 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at his home in Black Hawk, the place he found the greatest solace and peace. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Terry to Charlie’s Place, P.O. Box 397, Dumont, CO 80436.
