From its humble beginnings of twenty acrobats and jugglers in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1984, Cirque du Soloeil (Circus of the Sun) has completely revolutionized the circus industry while becoming the juggernaut that it is today. Employing nearly 4,000 people behind the scenes and 1,300 artists and performers, Cirque du Soleil has mesmerized audiences across the globe performing on six continents, in sixty countries, and almost 450 cities.

“Corteo” is one of nineteen different shows produced by Cirque du Soleil. Translated from Italian to English, “Corteo” means procession. It is the story of a clown reviewing the special moments of his life from a netherworld between heaven and earth. A dazzling parade of color, acrobatics, and aerobatics, the journey through his past entertains throughout leaving onlookers spellbound. At the conclusion of a show you wish would never end, the main character becomes an angel and receives his wings.
