By Tatiyana Brooks

Black Hawk is home to The Green Solution’s (TGS) 18th dispensary location, now open daily from 8 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. at 231 Gregory Street, right off Highway 119. Co-founded by twin brothers Kyle and Eric Speidell in 2010, the popular cannabis retail company was one of the first dispensary companies in the state and remains a Colorado-based, family-owned business. The new location offers more than 50 different strains of cannabis and carries products from well-known brands including the dispensary’s proprietary brand, Nectarbee, as well as Cosmos, The Bonzai Collection, Lusso, Willie’s Reserve, Mary’s Medicinals, Incredibles and more. The two-story dispensary features a check-in area and merchandise store on the first level and the main sales floor on the second level. TGS prides itself on education and offers the concierge-level expertise needed to craft each individual’s shopping experience. With plenty of parking available at the free parking garage directly across the street, TGS’ store has easy access for all locals and visitors.

“As we expand throughout Colorado and the nation, we’re excited to be a part of a community as close-knit as the city of Black Hawk. In our short time here, we’ve already felt the strong support of Black Hawk’s citizens and officials,” said Steve Lopez, chief executive officer of TGS.

The community is invited to celebrate the grand opening of the award-winning dispensary on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. TGS’ vice president of retail operations, Nicholas Tedesco, as well as TGS’ chief sales officer, Brad Speidell, will kick off the event with a ceremonial green ribbon-cutting at 10:45 a.m. As their gift to the community in celebration of the Black Hawk location, TGS and exclusive vendor partner Willie’s Reserve will present a generous donation to the Colorado Veterans Project, which is a local nonprofit that hosts special events to raise awareness and funds for Colorado veterans and veterans’ organizations. TGS and its co-founders, including former U.S. military officials Nick and Eric Speidell, are committed to providing support to veterans in the Colorado community and applaud Colorado Veterans Project’s contributable efforts.

The celebration will continue throughout the day with a variety of product specials and opportunities to win apparel, accessories and more as well as energetic sounds from live DJ, Queen Beats. This is a free, non-ticketed event.
